Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity is available for a Hospital Education Manager to join the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital hours negotiable from 64 hours per fortnight.
About Role:
This role holds a key leadership and management role within the hospital and is accountable for the efficient and effective management of clinical and non-clinical education and competency programs across the hospital. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services related to Hospital wide education. The role requires working with and supporting all managers in achieving excellence in care delivery and service delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements. Works closely with the Executive team to improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital objectives.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have a current relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia along with the following:
- Extensive clinical skills with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in clinical education/management
- Knowledge of methods of assisting and facilitating learning
- Experience in successfully delivering informal and formal education programs
- Demonstrated ability to effectively apply adult learning principles
- Understanding of accreditation process in relation to education portfolio
- Effective time management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment & independently as required
- Ability to apply research findings to clinical practice
- Advanced computer literacy in MS Office programs
- Post graduate studies in nursing is desirable
- Qualification in Education and/or management is desirable
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment is desirable
