JOB DUTIES:
- Answer customer’s questions regarding care of a wide variety of plants in our garden center and able to look up other plants as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals
- Work directly on sales floor, and registers, throughout the store, assisting customers and accomplishing “Bachman’s Customer Service Culture
- Process all store transactions according to established procedures including In-store pickup, Curbside pickup and Delivery orders, returns for customers and transfers to other stores..
- Maintain store appearance with general cleaning, caring for plants, dusting, stocking and displaying merchandise.
- Answer telephone calls regarding all perishable horticulture questions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A two-year Horticulture degree or MNLA Certification is preferred.
- Demonstrates a wide range of product knowledge with all Garden Center products.
- This position also requires excellent customer relations and communication skills and 3+ years’ product knowledge and gardening knowledge.
- Must be able to read and write in English and perform basic math skills.
- Past cashier experience is preferred.
