As a Vice President - Operations Manager II in Home Lending - Consumer Fulfillment Originations, you will lead and manage a team of over 50 employees, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with policies. You will oversee team performance, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions to enhance productivity and quality. Your role will involve mentoring team members, managing human resources actions, and participating in special projects to drive operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Trains, manages, and coordinates daily operations of a 50+ employee team.
- Oversees workflow and results management to ensure compliance with policies.
- Conducts audits and provide sinformation to management for process improvement.
- Mentors and reviews team work for accuracy and quality.
- Handles exception items and document new procedures.
- Recommends and implements corrective action plans for process deficiencies.
- Responds to audit findings and risk control reports with corrective actions.
- Assists in implementing new or revised policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and established policies.
- Participates in projects and create ad-hoc reports as delegated by management.
- Manages team performance through coaching, reviews, and corrective action planning.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent college coursework.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in mortgage operations.
- Knowledge of US mortgage documents, regulations, and guidelines.
- Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance team effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior computer skills in a multiple application environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Effective time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in managing large teams in a financial services environment.
- Familiarity with automation tools and techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to exercise prudent judgment.
- Experience in conducting research and organizing special reviews.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of compliance, risk, and control requirements in the mortgage industry.
