Hogan Core Banking Developer (Mainframe)

Techstra Solutions is seeking an experienced Hogan Core Banking Developer with strong mainframe expertise to support and enhance enterprise banking systems. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications on the Hogan Core Banking Platform, supporting both online and batch processing environments. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Hogan applications, mainframe technologies, and banking operations.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS (Non-Negotiable)Hands-on knowledge of Hogan Core Banking Applications:
DDA (Demand Deposit Application)
TDA (Time Deposit Application)
Candidates without direct DDA and TDA experience should not be submitted
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the Hogan Core Banking Platform
Analyze and understand existing custom-built Hogan applications
Design, code, and implement enhancements across Hogan modules
Support both online (CICS) and batch processing environments
Prepare unit test plans and create test data
Identify, analyze, and resolve Hogan abends in online and batch jobs
Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and operations teams
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and production support activities
Ensure adherence to banking standards, controls, and best practices
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
5+ years of experience in mainframe development
Strong hands-on experience with the Hogan Core Banking Platform
Proficiency in:
COBOL
JCL
VSAM
CICS
Experience supporting online and batch processing environments
Strong understanding of banking systems and core banking operations
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Hogan Concepts:
Hogan Umbrella
Processing Environment Manager (PEM)
CDMF
Logical Environments (Data Groups, Activities, Program Linking to PEM)
Hogan Abend identification and resolution
Experience supporting large-scale financial institutions
Knowledge of banking regulations and operational risk controls
Exposure to modernization or integration initiatives involving core banking systems
Prior experience in production support environments
