David Weekley Homes is seeking an experienced HOA & Community Operations Coordinator to support our growing Tampa division. This is a developer-side HOA role responsible for helping guide new and existing communities from initial formation through transition to homeowner control.
The ideal candidate will have experience working for a residential homebuilder, land developer, community association management company, or related real estate organization. This position partners closely with our Land, Purchasing, and Homebuilding teams and coordinates with attorneys, community management companies, vendors, and homeowners.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the operational side of residential communities and enjoys managing multiple projects, building strong partnerships, and taking ownership of important details throughout the community lifecycle.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate formation and filing of community declarations for water management and platting.
- Initiate HOA contracts for maintenance of landscaping, irrigation, ponds, gates, amenities, and mitigation areas.
- Select and hire community management companies.
- Review and approve ARC submittals per community guidelines.
- Oversee turnover inspections and required repairs prior to transition.
- Support HOA management with fees, budgeting, and stakeholder updates.
- Assist HOA management in resolving homeowner inquiries and issues.
- Support homebuilding team with external developer ARC submittals (plans, colors, landscaping).
- Experience supporting HOAs for a residential homebuilder, land developer, community association management company, or related real estate organization is preferred.
- Familiarity with developer-controlled associations, community formation, and HOA transitions is a plus.
- Experience reviewing and understanding deeds, plats, declarations, HOA documents, contracts, and closing documents.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple communities, projects, and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, homeowners, vendors, attorneys, and community management companies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic document-management systems.
- Florida LCAM or other community association management credentials are a plus but not required.
This is an onsite position with minimal travel.
