Job Description:

We are now looking for a HO Controlling Services to join our team in Airbus GBS in Portugal. 

Responsibilities - your mission:

Business Operations Management

  • Lead the Controlling Services Team and Team Leaders as the Controlling Services Manager by fostering motivation and well-being, addressing challenges, communicating and supporting the implementation of the GBS management strategy.

  • Ensure strict compliance with relevant Governance policies and procedures.

  • Build and sustain a robust relationship with sending organizations’ focal points, and promote an open strategic communication channel, maintaining regular touchpoints and ensuring that all relevant parties are involved in strategic decision making.

  • Actively Support the AGR Manager (O2C & R2A Manager) in the definition of the GBS Strategy for the Controlling Services Perimeter, and contribute to its implementation.

  • Monitor and consolidate headcount fluctuations, as per sending teams’ needs.

  • Ensure that operational and quality standards are met as per the sending teams’ requirements and manage recruitment needs based on operational priorities.

  • Perform benchmarks with similar teams and organizations, both within and outside the Airbus perimeter.

  • Contribute to increasing Airbus profitability by critically assessing the existing status quo and driving the development of a maturing Controlling Services organization, within a dynamic Airbus and GBS environment.

  • Act as the second point of escalation for significant issues related to the processes and applications in the organization’s perimeter of responsibility, and/or interpersonal issues related to the Controlling Services team.

  • Be a leader and coach for team leaders and for individual contributors when needed, promoting their development and fostering their growth and the fulfillment of commonly designed development goals.

Continuous Improvement and Projects/Tools

  • Liaise with different organizations to promote best practices sharing and synergies in and outside the Controlling Services organization.

  • Drive Value & Excellence within the Controlling Services perimeter, actively participating in improvement initiatives and fostering the growth of a growing organization within a maturing GBS ecosystem.

  • Encourage innovation and challenge non-value-adding activities to drive continuous Improvement.

  • Support the fulfillment of Top Company Objectives and targets, based on the circumstances surrounding the Controlling Services organization. 

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have

  • Finance/Accounting background with a minimum of 7 years' professional experience in a commercial or industrial environment with tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated leadership in resolving conflicts, addressing escalations and managing priorities. 

  • Proven communication skills, namely in the areas of negotiation and presentation to executive stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to organise and coordinate multiple tasks and communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation. 

  • Promote a "speak-up" culture.

  • Interpersonal and analytical skills

  • Digital Mindset

  • Proven ability to work in a team and independently

  • Rigorous and analytical with ability to follow and apply strict processes.

  • Fluent in English with the ability to interact with native speakers

  • Nice to have: SAP expertise, experience in dealing with external stakeholders, and presenting performance.
