Major Responsibilities:
- Ensures that technology problems and service requests are resolved in accordance with service level objectives and information system policies. Analyzes performance metrics and seeks opportunities to improve efficiency, cost or user effort in service offerings. Effectively communicates technology changes and outages to impacted business users. Facilitates downtime activities for planned and unplanned events. Acts as HIT support escalate for site leadership.
- Fosters productive relationships with site leadership to stimulate partnership and elicit a positive image of information systems. Interacts regularly with site executives, service line and operational leaders to collect and prioritize new business needs, relevant issues or adoption barriers. Works with clients to understand business problems and gathers requirements to apply existing solutions; collaborates with engineering and HIT application owners where appropriate. Provides guidance on prioritizing initiatives as needed. Champions Project Management Office (PMO) methodologies and ensures adherence.
- Acts as a liaison of technology, recognizing opportunities to better leverage and improve adoption of existing solutions to solve business problems. Collaborates with core application owners to develop site metrics on adoption of core application product lines and creates adoption strategies for site gaps and opportunities. Provides new associate on-boarding that includes relevant core and site application education and training.
- Ensures that core applications and local site training is available and staff maintains competency. Preserves a culture of sustained learning that requires staff to continuously discover and learn new technology advancements. Assists leads with staff on-boarding process to ensure expedited productivity. Provides input to the manager on staff performance. Helps to maintain a high performing organization by holding team members accountable for the departmental expectations on daily operations and project work.
- Provides direction about assigned applications that describe the future of scope changes, adoption strategies, product releases, operational maintenance or retirement/transition to core. Fosters positive relationships by serving as the point of contact within the site for technology vendors to best understand product roadmaps, ensure consistent support performance and maximize benefits for organization. Partner with other HIT teams and operational leaders to prepare plans (cost estimates, schedules, budgets, resource requirements) and to identify and mitigate deployment issues and risks. Collaborates with local site leadership and stakeholders on change management strategies.
- Participates in technical support for end users in assigned site(s). This includes device support, application support, application management, environment management and database management. Ensures applications and devices are functioning at optimal level, are being fully utilized and end-user needs are met. Provides expert-level oversight of the enterprise standards and site HIT environment.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Information Technology or related field, or
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Business or related field.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 5 years of experience in information technology.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Position requires travel which may result in exposure to road and weather hazards; and occasional out of town/state travel is required/
- Exposed to normal office environment.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
- 24 hour, 7 day on-call support is required.
