Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Red Hat OpenShift Professional to design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade containerized applications on the OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). This role is critical in supporting our cloud-native infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Kubernetes, OpenShift 4.x, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices, with hands-on experience in deploying and maintaining PaaS environments. You will play a key role in application onboarding, infrastructure provisioning, and system monitoring, while supporting 24×7 operations across multiple clusters. Your ability to troubleshoot complex issues, automate workflows, and collaborate across teams will be essential in driving continuous delivery and platform reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and administer Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4.x across public and private cloud environments.
- Manage master and node components across multiple clusters, ensuring optimal performance and resilience.
- Onboard applications and workloads onto OpenShift, including configuring build strategies, image streams, and deployment pipelines.
- Manage node lifecycle, including registration, scaling, and health monitoring of worker nodes.
- Configure and maintain Istio service mesh for traffic management, observability, and security.
- Administer Quay Container Registry and manage ROBO accounts for secure image pull/push operations.
- Provision and manage persistent storage for internal registries and application data.
- Implement and enforce access control policies using RBAC and OAuth for OpenShift resources.
- Automate infrastructure and deployment tasks using Ansible and support GitOps workflows with ArgoCD.
- Integrate OpenShift with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains for seamless application delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across container, orchestration, and infrastructure layers.
- Support 24×7 operations with rotational shifts, including night shifts and alternate Saturdays.
- 4-9 years of hands-on experience in Red Hat OpenShift administration and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Proven experience in deploying and managing OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4.x in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of containerization concepts, Docker, Kubernetes, and PaaS platforms.
- Expertise in OpenShift cluster setup, including master/node configuration, networking, and security.
- Demonstrated experience in application onboarding, build automation, and CI/CD integration.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud delivery models: IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Proficiency in scripting using Python, Shell Scripting, or PowerShell (Power CLI).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools like Ansible.
- Familiarity with GitOps practices and experience with ArgoCD is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of Red Hat Linux, Atomic Host, and system administration on Linux/Windows.
- Experience working with VMware vSphere and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to monitoring, logging, and incident resolution.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
