We are seeking an experienced Travel Oncology Infusion RN to support our Oncology and Infusion Services team. The RN provides and administers nursing care to oncology and infusion patients in a safe, efficient, and compassionate manner within the scope of a Colorado licensed Registered Nurse.
This role provides direct patient care in an outpatient infusion setting, including chemotherapy administration, infusion therapy, patient monitoring, and patient education.
- Administer chemotherapy and infusion medications as ordered
- Perform IV starts, port access, and central line care
- Operate infusion pumps and monitor infusion therapy
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and changes in condition
- Provide patient education regarding treatments, medications, and symptom management
- Perform patient assessments, vital signs, and treatment monitoring
- Document all care within Cerner EMR
- Coordinate care with oncology providers and interdisciplinary team members
- Assist with treatment preparation and chart review
- Ensure appropriate lab orders, treatment verification, and insurance authorization
- Support oncology providers and infusion clinic operations
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience
- Current OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required
- ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required
- AHA BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Outpatient infusion experience
- Port/PICC access experience
- Experience administering chemotherapy
- Experience working in an oncology infusion clinic
Outpatient hospital-based infusion center serving oncology patients in a rural community hospital.
Skills Required
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience
- Current OCN Oncology Certified Nurse certification
- ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy certification
- AHA BLS certification
- ACLS certification
