- Qualifications: Current New York State license; able to be certified/re-certified in CPR. Minimum of 1 (one) year of experience required

- Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication skills\nwith patients, family members and other members of the health care team ..\nDuties: Able to perform majority of patient care functions needed in an acute care setting with minimal\norientation and supervision.
- Greet patients, direct to exam rooms, prepare for exam. Routine assistance\nduring exams: set up trays for injections, measure and record progress of patients, take and record vital\nsigns. Assist with general office duties, reception, appointment scheduling, tiling and chart preparation.\nContact various insurance companies to obtain authorizations for physical therapy, l'vlR's, CT's, surgery,\netc.
- Contact primary care physicians to obtain referrals on new patients or extensions of referrals on\ncurrent patients. Assist physicians in patient care.
- Maintain exam rooms and all clinical areas.\nAdminister injections and assist with paps and other procedures. Experience using Electronic Medical\nRecords strongly desired.
- Implements nursing care activities under the direction of the primary or\nassociate nurse as outlined in the nursing care plan. Observes and reports patient responses to\ntreatments.
- Participates in activities related to nursing unit management.
Skills Required
- Current New York State LPN/LVN license
- Minimum one year of nursing experience
- Emergency department experience
- Ability to place IVs
- Phlebotomy experience or ability
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain or renew it
- Ability to work evening and night shifts
- Ability to work every other weekend and some holidays
