Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining personal health information of Kirby patients through scanning, processing, and reviewing medical records in a manner consistent with the medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements. Performs a variety of moderately complex tasks while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and quality. Maintains the integrity of the legal record so complete and accurate records are available for patient care and business use in a timely manner. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of the patient record.

- Familiar with medical terminology.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Teams, and multiple databases.
- Proficient with PDF software
- Ability to use multiple EHRs.
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent. Previous clerical work experience strongly preferred, but not required.
Language Skills:
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and ability to control demeanor in challenging situations.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
