Shift Details: Tuesday–Saturday, 10:30 PM–7:00 AM (Overnight)
As our HIM Associate, you will help ensure timely, accurate, and compliant disclosure of patient health information while protecting confidentiality and meeting all state and federal requirements. Every day, you will process and validate ROI requests, retrieve records for disclosure, and prepare/document releases to ensure quality and regulatory compliance within required timelines. To thrive in this role you must excel at prioritizing work to meet deadlines and communicate clearly with customers and internal partners while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Here’s what you will experience working as an HIM Associate:
A high-volume, deadline-driven environment focused on turnaround time and quality
Daily collaboration with ROI vendors and escalation support with HIM leadership as needed
Work that requires strong attention to detail and consistent application of state/federal disclosure statutes
Responsibility for safeguarding PHI and maintaining privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
Active tracking and follow-up of outstanding requests to reduce risk and improve performance
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of HIPAA and other patient information compliance guidelines
Ability to articulate regulatory requirements related to medical record release
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
Candidates must be located in Pacific Time Zone to support shift coverage
