Location: Murray Resource Center
This is a hybrid position. There is a requirement to report onsite 3-5 days per week.

As our HIM Associate II, you will deliver exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, payors, and other entities while upholding the utmost confidentiality for all patients. Your daily tasks will involve the facilitation of release of information requests. Your role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate and confidential health records.

To thrive in this position, you will need to be detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about handling sensitive information. You’ll use your prior experience with navigating multiple systems to collect patient information and enter it into multiple computer systems. You’ll use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to answer questions from patients, their legal representatives, and other users of health information.

Previous experience in health information management is not required, but it will give you leverage to understand the department. A working knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regarding patient privacy is a plus. We will teach you our industry-leading technology and a variety of medical terminology to perform at your best and feel good about what you do.
 

Here’s what you will experience working as an HIM Associate:

• Facilitates release of information requests.

• Validates authorizations to use and disclose protected health information and other requests.

• Processes requests by printing medical records from client systems at the direction of supervisor.

• Prepping, scanning, indexing, and quality control validation of release of information documents.

• Performs data entry functions by hand-keying electronic information into various data systems to maintain updated information for future use and analysis.

• Updates spreadsheets and data systems with updated content to maintain accurate information.

• Exemplify caring and compassionate customer service to create an excellent patient experience.

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $17.00 - $24.07 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
