HIM Associate II

As our HIM Associate II, you will be maintaining the integrity and precision of patient records. You will use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interview patients as well as physicians and their staff, playing a key role in managing and overseeing health information systems.

To thrive in this position, you will need to be detail-oriented and passionate about handling sensitive information. Previous experience in health information management will give you leverage to understand the department. You will utilize your understanding of Health Informatics (HI) to run an error analysis and recommend solutions.

Here’s what you will experience working as an HIM Associate II:

• Ensuring that the resolution of health record deficiencies aligns with patient care, regulatory compliance, legal standards, and reimbursement activities.

• Entering and updating software (epars, PAS, Chart Manager) for specified functions of central business office requests, denials, and DNFB activities.

• Performing EMPI functions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the facility's master patient index and the patient's medical record.

• Monitoring task queues for data integrity issues including duplicates, overlaps, and overlays, as well as other data integrity issues.

• Initiating the medical record suspension process according to facility and regulatory requirements.

• Performing quantitative reviews of the medical record and monitoring the quality of the functions of the global team.

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $17.00 - $24.07 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
