We are a dynamic Site Reliability Engineering(SRE) team focused on improving the reliability and performance of data and analytics platforms. We're looking for a hands-on technologist with 3+ years of experience in application delivery or IT operations, eager to apply development skills to enhance system resilience and efficiency. You will be engaged in support activities with our Databricks enterprise platform, assisting users and troubleshooting Production issues with ETL pipelines.
As part of our mission to modernize IT operations, you'll contribute to automation efforts, reduce toil, and help build tools that provide early detection of issues across critical data pipelines. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automation scripts to enhance operational strategy
Manage performance monitoring across our assets to ensure proper measuring, reporting, and alerting on anomalies and incidents
Collaborate with engineering and application delivery teams in developing and testing automation of repetitive, manual efforts
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the SRE practice
Contribute to team projects improving our operational strategy through AI integration
Track and document repeated incidents to eliminate recurring problems
Support of our Databricks user base and critical ETL pipelines
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Strong skills in troubleshooting and documentation of operational procedures
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience with Agile methodology
A desire to learn and grow your experience
Good communications skills
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
11-13 years of experience as a Developer and exposed to Distributed Systems and Operational roles.
7+ years SQL experience.
Experience in ETL technologies (Informatica/DataStage) and Oracle is a big plus
Experience with Data warehousing concepts
Experience with scripting and automation using Python
Experience with Shell scripting
Familiarity with SQL, Spark, Pyspark and working with Cloud Based data platforms like Databricks.
Hands on experiences in some AWS technologies like – Cloud Watch, Step Functions, Lambda, Glue, EC2, DynamoDB, SQS, ECS/EKS, Elastic Search, Elastic Cache, Airflow to name a few
Understanding of version control systems and experience using Gitlab/Github
Understanding of Development Operations and Software Development Lifecycle
Understanding of ticketing systems like ServiceNow
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details
Location & Hours of Work
Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate
Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WAH)
