Inside the Role
The Product Marketing Specialist will support the On-Highway Product Marketing Manager in playing a lead role in developing communications, key messages and promotional programs for DTNA’s on-highway product line-up. This role is high exposure with multiple internal and external stakeholders.The successful candidate will develop and utilize product expertise to ensure proper product messaging and positioning are communicated to DTNA’s dealer network directly, through training initiatives, as well as to customers in target segments through Freightliner brand communications channels. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful problem-solver with proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and alignment. This person will need to be as comfortable with ambiguous or fast-paced planning as they are with long-term marketing strategy alignment.

Position offers a starting salary range of $95,000.00 - $121.000.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
- Initiate, document, and track go-to-market strategies for upcoming product and project launches; collaborate with Product Strategy and Segment Strategy teams to determine appropriate product go-to-market timing
- Support launch plan development for new product options with cross-functional teams; develop sales support collateral (i.e. pitch decks, walkaround videos, white-papers, spec packages, etc.) for dealer and DTNA internal sales stakeholders
- Support collaboration with Brand/Marketing Communications and Corporate Communications, and align with Vocational and Detroit Product Marketing as needed to refine messaging
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing and Brand Marketing teams and ensure appropriate products/features are promoted in Freightliner brand website and through brand social media channels
- Play lead role in collaborating with On Highway Training team to determine appropriate channels (webinars, online training modules, in person events, etc.) and content for educating dealer and internal sales stakeholders
- Play lead role in developing strategy to capture competitor data/insights; collaborate with Segment Strategy and Product Strategy teams as needed to understand market and competitor insights and develop content to help stakeholders sell against the competition
- Support marketing truck and trade show strategy development; represent DTNA at trade shows and other industry events
- Act as main point of contact for internal (sales, etc.) and external stakeholders (dealers, customers) for current, released product information
- Develop product presentations and present, including product “walkarounds”, to key stakeholders
- Support development and maintenance of target segment sales, demo and trade association rebate programs
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelors degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Possess strong presentation skills and be comfortable with high-exposure opportunities
- Work collaboratively with, and at times lead, cross-functional teams and engage with Freightliner and Detroit brand agencies as needed
- Be customer (internal and external stakeholders) focused
- Be willing to learn and communicate technical details of DTNA on-highway truck product
- Build internal cross-functional network - brand management, training, segment strategy, product strategy, sales, CAE, service, controlling, etc.
- Think strategically and have a big-picture view of the market
- Be self-driven, work proactively and possess a can-do attitude
- Be flexible, with a willingness to pivot depending on market or DTNA needs or external events
- Be willing to travel up to 10% of the time (domestically, as well as Canada)

Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- Freightliner Cascadia product knowledge
- Commercial Driver License or ability to obtain one
