The High Voltage and Sensors Application Design Engineer leads new business development and growth opportunities through technical knowledge on key customers or significant opportunities; works in close alignment with the sales and product management teams. Assesses potential application of products and offers solutions that meet customer needs. Analyzes competition, and creates reports on customer technical requirements, costing, feasibility, and risks. Organizes technical training to clients and communicates customer feedback for future product developments. Work is typically complex and of considerable scope and therefore requires application of technical principles, concepts, tools, and knowledge gained from previous work experience.
Responsibilities:

Identifies sales opportunities by working closely with sales team and providing technical knowledge. Creates reports on customer technical requirements, costing, feasibility, and risks.

Partners closely with the product management team to identify any technical changes due to market changes, new technology, partnerships, or customer requirement.

Serves on an after sales cross-functional team (product management, sales, technical marketing), focusing on new product launch. Is the technical expert translating the customer requirements into design needs.

Experience:

Bachelor or university degree in Engineering

Seven to ten years of experience

Extensive experience with sales

Experience with global manufacturing companies preferred
