We are looking for a HIC Program Coordinator to oversee the implementation and management of grant programs related to lead, tobacco, Hepatitis C, food security, asthma, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. This position will be Part-Time and Onsite.
What You’ll Do
Act as the main point of contact for all grantees providing programs and services in various health areas.
Manage grant program implementation with the HIPP management team.
Provide daily or as-needed programmatic updates to the director.
Maintain an up-to-date calendar for program activities.
Supervise division program coordinators in grant management and program implementation.
Track submission of identified metrics in collaboration with the division’s Program Evaluator/Epidemiologist.
Provide oversight of program area outreach and education initiatives.
Partner and act as the point of contact for IDOH division leads for program consultation.
Create and deliver division protocol and procedure trainings in collaboration with the Training and Communications Manager.
Coordinate and plan annual grantee site visits and provide technical assistance to grantees.
Monitor contractual requirements and ensure grant compliance.
Analyze progress reports from grantees to ensure predicted outcomes are achieved.
Develop and maintain a database of activities and outcomes impacting grant areas.
Collaborate with the Manager of Contracts and Grants to review budget expenditures for compliance.
Ensure programs and materials are delivered equitably and in a culturally responsive manner.
Submit weekly remote logs in a timely manner.
Assist with internal and external trainings, meetings, and grant kick-offs.
Perform other duties as assigned as the program develops.
What You'll Need
Required:
Extensive knowledge of public health issues and priorities.
Broad experience in program planning, goal setting, and interagency initiatives.
Working knowledge of budgeting, data collection, and evaluation principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Ability to manage a large and unique grant portfolio.
Strong organizational and task-oriented skills.
Effective interpersonal communication skills with diverse individuals and organizations.
Conflict resolution experience.
Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment and navigate tracking systems.
Experience in consulting activities such as evaluating effectiveness, creating relationships, and advocating on behalf of the division.
Preferred:
Familiarity with agency program terminology and regulations.
Ability to learn and apply policies and activities of the grant program to pertinent situations.
Experience preparing and writing correspondence and reports.
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
Must be able to communicate with customers and team members over the phone and in person.
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings.

$37.80 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
