We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Yorkshire Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their Wastewater Network for the next five years and beyond!

We are currently recruiting for HGV Jetting Engineers to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across the Bradford Area, Yorkshire Region. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career with Lanes Group, working closely with one of our most exciting clients and contributing to their AMP8 objectives.

Due to a contract win we are looking for applicants all around the Yorkshire Regions  

Working Hours & Location

  • Location: Bradford
  • Hours: 47.5 hours per week.

About the Role

As a HGV Jetting Engineer, you will:

  • Maintain great customer service and communication 
  • Operate jetting equipment to clean and unblock drains, sewers etc.
  • Use vacuum equipment to remove debris, liquid waste etc. 
  • Carry out out CCTV surveys of drainage systems
  • enter confined spaces using proper safety equipment and procedures
  • Adhere to company absence reporting procedure
  • Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work.
  • Carry out site specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team member and site supervisor
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
  • Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures
  • Ensuring on and off sites are live to avoid any penalties with highways permits
  • Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Safely operate HGV vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Experience and qualifications required for the role: 

  • HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 6 penalty points ideally
  • A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable 
  • Competent in using an electronic device – laptop / tablet for data entry. 
  • Physical fitness and lots of energy. 
  • An in date CSCS would be advantageous – however this could be obtained if necessary 

Full training in the above will be provided if not already obtained.

Skills Required

  • HGV Class 2 licence (no more than 6 penalty points ideally)
  • Competent in using an electronic device (laptop/tablet) for data entry
  • Physical fitness and high energy
  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • In-date CSCS card
  • Ability to enter confined spaces using proper safety equipment and procedures
