Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled HF Radio Systems Implementation and Support Senior Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of HF radio communication systems for the LACR region. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to ensure the smooth operation and functionality of HF radio systems, as well as provide technical support to clients and end-users. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HF radio systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain HF radio communication systems for various applications and industries but mainly public safety and armed forces.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop innovative solutions and improvements for HF radio systems.
  • Conduct system analysis, performance testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality and performance of HF radio systems.
  • Provide technical support to clients and end-users, including system configuration, diagnosis of problems, and resolution of technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, installation guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in HF radio technology to ensure the implementation of cutting-edge solutions.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the team's overall capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, project management, and customer support, to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in field visits and on-site installations when necessary, ensuring the proper implementation and integration of HF radio systems.

     


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting HF radio communication systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HF radio technology, including modulation techniques, propagation characteristics, and antenna design.
  • Proficient in using HF radio testing and measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to HF radio systems, such as ITU-R recommendations and FCC rules.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Prior experience in training and mentoring junior engineers is a plus.
  • Availability for travel to customer sites for system installations and troubleshooting.
  • Fluent English.
