IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a motivated Help Desk Specialist in the Huntsville, AL area providing on-site support at Corporate Headquarters in Huntsville, AL.  The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter that is able to provide superior customer service, solve technical issues, and think critically.      

Education and General Experience:      

A bachelor’s degree plus one to two (1-2) years of professional experience providing Tier 1 technical support is required. Government contracting experience is preferred. 

Job Duties:      

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, and virtualization.
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
  • Perform audits of systems to find and remediate any discrepancies or issues.
  • Workstation Configuration, Updates, and Repurposing.
  • Tier 1 Helpdesk Activities, including but not limited to:
    • Assist users via remote access and telephone
    • Password Resets
    • Peripheral Replacements
    • Basic Multi-Factor Authentication
    • Basic Phone Support
    • New Employee Onboarding First Level Setup
    • Support in the areas of email, account creation, standard desktop applications and regularly scheduled maintenance.
  • Assist in the maintenance of documentation and SOPs.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds. 

Candidates must be able to effectively multitask and work independently without daily guidance and supervision.
