JOB TITLE: HEDIS User Acceptance Testing Analyst
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)
DUTIES: Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of user interface and reporting based applications that include application analysis, data validation, and testing; read and write SQL, Python, PySpark, and shell scripts with knowledge of joins, table and view properties, and ability to review and understand data dictionaries as it relates to a database environment; work with health plan data; develop data driven metrics to identify gaps and implement targeted interventions to improve results on key performance measures; perform analytics and investigative research; evaluate and prioritize data supported quality improvement recommendations to customers; merge and append data from multiple sources; provide subject matter guidance to clients on data issues and data questions; provide strategic and operational support in preparation of the HEDIS Roadmap, HOQ, and HEDIS audit; manage and prioritize large, high visibility projects; analyze, review, forecast, and trend complex data, review the accuracy and interpretation of others' work; develop and implement business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes; and support short and long term operational and strategic business activities through analysis and testing. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the United States.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and 60 months of experience in job offered or in an analyst-related occupation.
Experience must include:
* HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) processes including measure calculation, reporting, validation, and submission activities;
* Health plan data domains including Member, Enrollment, Provider, Lab, Visits, Pharmacy, and related datasets;
* Handle supplemental data for HEDIS reporting;
* CMS Quality Rating System concepts;
* Measure analytics to perform investigative research and root cause analysis;
* Translate and integrate data from multiple formats and data warehouses such as merge and append data from diverse sources;
* Claims data and claims processing workflows;
* Evaluate and prioritize recommendations for quality improvement initiatives for customers;
* Develop data-driven metrics to identify gaps and implement interventions to improve performance on key measures; and
* User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for user interfaces and reporting applications related to HEDIS
RATE OF PAY: $127,421 - $161,154/ per year
