Head of Video

Vercel is looking for a Head of Video to own our video strategy from idea to publish. You will shape how we tell our story across product launches, community moments, and brand campaigns. This is a creative and hands-on role for someone who can direct, produce, and edit at a high level, while also building the systems and team to scale.

You will collaborate closely with marketing, developer relations, and product to make video content that developers actually want to watch. That means short-form, long-form, live, doc-style, tutorials, motion graphics — whatever best fits the story and the audience.

If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF or NY) the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. • Define and lead the video strategy for Vercel across channels and formats
• Produce, shoot, and edit standout content that makes Vercel’s products and community shine
• Build and manage a small, high-performing in-house video team and a roster of freelancers
• Partner with marketing and product to concept and deliver campaigns, launch videos, and event coverage
• Develop templates, style guides, and workflows to keep production efficient and consistent
• Manage the full production process, from creative direction to post-production and publishing
• Keep your eye on what’s working and what’s not — use data and audience feedback to improve content

• You have a portfolio that shows range: narrative storytelling, product explainers, interviews, motion graphics, live events
• You’re as comfortable directing a shoot as you are cutting an edit
• You can work quickly without sacrificing quality
• You know how to tailor video for different platforms and audiences
• You have experience building and leading creative teams
• You understand the developer space or are curious enough to learn it fast
• You bring ideas to the table and can see them through with minimal hand-holding

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is [$190,000-$260,000].  This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be  adjusted based on employee location.  The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
