We are looking for a Head of UX and Design to join our amazing team. You will lead a team of product and UX designers and play a key role in crafting and delivering a design strategy that aligns with our business objectives while delivering exceptional user experiences to our customers.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders from across the business as well as developers and product owners using a blend of strategic vision, hands-on design expertise and leadership to drive excellence in our products.
This is a broad role in a fast-paced B2C business, you will work closely with delivery teams and drive a material increase in user research, journey mapping and usability excellence, requiring a strategic mindset and hands-on expertise in UX best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the product design strategy and user experience vision that aligns with the company’s business goals
- Champion a customer centric design and product approach across the organisation, work with the product team to enhance product discovery and experimentation
- Lead, mentor and develop the design team. This includes organisational design, hiring, developing and coordinating.
- You will be responsible for the overall design quality and output of the design team along with the end-to-end design process, from discovery and ideation to delivery and optimisation.
- Drive the business towards data-driven design decisions, leveraging user research and analytics.
- Gather and translate user feedback and data into actionable design solutions and strategic recommendations.
- You’ll be working and communicating with multiple stakeholders. Therefore, the ability to convince, influence, inspire and enable management decisions is crucial.
- You have a technical and social understanding of the bridge between design and development, and how to create an internal culture that outputs seamless and beautiful user experiences.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep ComeOn’s design capabilities cutting-edge.
- Encourage and motivate your team to go beyond current trends and deliver market leading designs.
- Deliver a high level of creativity in line with business goals.
- Create and build strong relationships with stakeholders to enable our products short and long term visions.
About you:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience across UX and product design with at least 3 years in leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering successful B2C products across both web and App. Online gambling experience is very strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of UX/UI principles, interaction design, visual design and data-led decision making.
- Excellent leadership skills with 3+ years experience as a people manager, including managing managers and a proven track record of hiring and mentoring employees in-person and remotely.
- You have the ability to build, mentor and motivate teams.
- You enjoy interacting, presenting, and workshopping with stakeholders, designers and developers.
- You are time-efficient and can handle multiple tasks, prioritise projects and meet deadlines.
- You are flexible and willing to direct the development of concepts across strategy, copy and design - inspiring others to evolve big ideas.
