Profile Description
- Directs U.S. GAAP reporting to ensure the timely, accurate completion of financial reports for required filings
- Directs the support, completion and review for the following filings: Bureau of Economic Analysis, Individual Insurer Monitoring, Bermuda Monetary Authority
- Preparation and review of Separate Account GAAP Financial Statements, 401K Financial statements
- Presents financial analysis and reporting information to management on a quarterly, monthly and annual basis
- Responsible for the development, execution and maintenance of internal controls
- Review and approval to required changes withing the general ledger inclusive of new account and hierarchy maintenance
- Oversees the completion of certain required monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries and related account reconciliations
- Stays abreast of financial reporting and regulatory developments which can impact the company and ensures compliance with all regulations
- Directs team in advanced problem solving and complex analysis
- Organizes and manages projects to completion; leads implementation of process improvements
- Manages and supports oversight of the functionality of financial reporting systems and applications
- Leads other analysts in establishing, modifying, documenting, and implementing reporting processes and control procedures
- Manages team within the function including completion of assigned duties and reporting responsibilities, coaching, objective setting, feedback, appraisals and development planning
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field
- CPA, CFA, MBA or similar designation strongly preferred
- 10-12+ years related experience required
- Big-4 Experience required
- Life insurance background preferred
- Managerial experience required
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively and clearly communicate and influence others including senior leadership
- A self-starter, self motivated, self disciplined and performance driven
Location: New York, NY, Atlanta, GA. (Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office),

In addition to salary, Resolution Life US offers a comprehensive benefits package, including our health & wellness program, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The range for the role may differ based on the location.
· New York, NY: $$170,200- $208,000
· Atlanta, GA: $164,000- $200,500
