Key Responsibilities
Treasury Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement the treasury strategy aligned with JIB’s overall business objectives and growth plans.
Lead the treasury department, providing direction, mentoring, and performance management to treasury staff.
Advise the Director of International Business on treasury-related matters, financial risks, and opportunities.
Establish and maintain treasury policies, procedures, and controls across all JIB jurisdictions.
Cash & Liquidity Management
Oversee daily cash management operations to ensure adequate liquidity for all business units.
Design and maintain a cash flow forecasting framework and monitor variances against projections.
Optimize cash pooling, intercompany funding, and working capital across JIB’s international operations.
Ensure timely funding of operational and capital expenditure requirements.
Foreign Exchange & Risk Management
Develop and execute FX hedging strategies to mitigate currency risk across multiple operating currencies.
Monitor and manage interest rate, credit, and counterparty risks.
Maintain and continuously improve the treasury risk management framework in line with international best practice.
Prepare and present risk exposure reports to senior management on a regular basis.
Banking & Financial Institution Relations
Manage and develop relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other counterparties across all operating countries.
Negotiate banking facilities, credit lines, trade finance arrangements, and associated terms and conditions.
Evaluate and select banking partners, ensuring competitiveness of terms and service quality.
Oversee KYC, AML, and compliance requirements in relation to banking relationships.
Debt & Investment Management
Manage JIB’s debt portfolio including short-term facilities, long-term borrowings, and bond instruments where applicable.
Oversee investment of surplus funds in accordance with approved investment policies.
Monitor covenant compliance and debt service obligations across all facilities.
Support fundraising initiatives and capital market transactions as required.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
Ensure treasury operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies in all jurisdictions.
Liaise with regulators, central banks, and government agencies on treasury and foreign exchange matters.
Prepare accurate and timely treasury reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Support internal and external audit processes relating to treasury activities.
Systems & Process Improvement
Oversee the implementation and utilization of treasury management systems (TMS) and related tools.
Drive continuous improvement of treasury processes, automation, and reporting capabilities.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy within treasury platforms and ERP systems.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Operations, and Business Development teams on transactions and strategic initiatives.
Support M&A, joint ventures, and international expansion activities from a treasury perspective.
Contribute to group-level financial planning, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of International Business.

Cash flow forecast accuracy: ≥90% variance within acceptable thresholds monthly.
Zero instances of liquidity shortfalls impacting business operations.
Timely funding of all capital and operational requirements (100% SLA adherence).

FX hedge ratio maintained within approved policy limits.
Reduction in realized FX losses year-on-year.
Timely submission of risk exposure reports (monthly/quarterly).
Banking & Relationships
Maintenance and expansion of banking relationships across all operating jurisdictions.
Cost of banking facilities benchmarked against market — target at or below peer median.
100% compliance with KYC/AML and counterparty due diligence requirements.
Compliance & Reporting
Zero regulatory breaches or penalties in treasury operations.
100% on-time delivery of treasury reports to internal stakeholders and regulators.
Clean audit outcomes for treasury function year-on-year.

Staff performance appraisal completion rate: 100%.
Treasury process automation targets met as per annual improvement plan.

4. Person Specification
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree (MBA or MSc Finance) is an advantage.
Professional certification required: ACA, ACCA, CFA, CTP (Certified Treasury Professional), or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum of 10–15 years’ experience in treasury, corporate finance, or related financial roles.
At least 4 years in a senior or leadership treasury position, preferably within a multinational or group treasury environment.
Demonstrated experience managing FX, liquidity, and financial risk in multiple currency/jurisdiction environments.
Experience with treasury management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Skills & Competencies
