The Role

Welcome to the future of cloud networking and security!

Cato Networks is the first company to converge enterprise networking and security into one centralized and global service that is delivered by cloud. It is led by networking and security pioneer Shlomo Kramer (Check Point, Imperva) and early investor (Palo Alto Networks, Exabeem, Trusteer and more). Cato’s unique technology inspired a brand-new product category, later named “SASE” by Gartner and a market expected to reach $28.5 billion by 2028.
This is your opportunity to get on the rocket ship and join a company that is building a cutting-edge enterprise network and secure cloud platform, and is on a fast track to becoming the worldwide market leader – don’t miss it!

Cato Networks is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Training & Education to build and lead our global Customer and Partner Education function. This leader will define and execute the strategy for a world-class training portfolio that elevates capability, proficiency, and technical excellence across internal teams, partners, and customers.

This role is accountable for establishing structured learning programs; building scalable, certification-grade education offerings; and ensuring Cato’s ecosystem can successfully deploy, operate, and maximize value from Cato’s SASE platform. The leader will work in close partnership with the Product Management organization, which owns product knowledge, ensuring alignment on messaging and technical accuracy while maintaining clear ownership boundaries.

 Key Responsibilities

 Strategy & Leadership

  • Define, communicate, and execute the long-term strategy for Cato’s Customer and Partner Training and Education offering.
  • Build and lead a high-performing global team including instructional designers, curriculum developers, lab authors, and LMS specialists.
  • Own the training program’s P&L, including budgeting, pricing strategy, forecasting, and revenue growth where applicable.
  • Partner closely with Customer Experience, Product, Sales, Support, and Partner teams to align education offerings with business objectives.

 Training Portfolio Development

  • Develop formal, structured learning programs that support skill development and proficiency for technical and non-technical learners.
  • Own the creation of: formal courses, certification programs, role-based learning paths, hands-on labs, assessments, and LMS-hosted learning experiences.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent instructional design methodology and quality standards.
  • Collaborate deeply with Product Management, leveraging their ownership of product knowledge to ensure technical accuracy, while converting that knowledge into structured educational content.

 Execution & Delivery

  • Drive scalable delivery models including on-demand, virtual instructor-led, in-person, and hybrid formats.
  • Ensure high-quality learning experiences that are measurable, repeatable, and customer-value driven.
  • Lead content lifecycle management to keep courses and assessments aligned with product evolution while avoiding ownership of fast-changing feature documentation.
  • Maintain strong lines of communication with Product Management to stay ahead of upcoming product changes and roadmap impacts.

 Stakeholder Engagement & Impact Measurement

  • Develop strong relationships with Customer Success, Support, Product Management, and Channel functions.
  • Build rigorous KPIs around learner proficiency, course adoption, certification impact, and customer outcomes.
  • Gather feedback and continuously improve the curriculum and delivery experience.

 Scope Clarification

  • This role owns structured education—curriculum design, formal courses, learning paths, labs, certifications, skill progression frameworks, and assessments.
  • Product Management owns product knowledge and documentation, and will be a core partner for content accuracy.
  • This role does not own rapidly changing product feature documentation or ad-hoc technical content tied closely to product release cycles.

 Qualifications

 Required

  • Proven leadership running a training & education organization with P&L ownership.
  • Experience launching or scaling global training or certification programs.
  • Strong background in instructional design and adult learning methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Experience with LMS platforms, certification engines, lab environments, and delivery technologies.

 Preferred

  • Experience within SaaS, cybersecurity platforms, or network-as-a-service ecosystems.
  • Experience developing hands-on technical labs and assessments.
  • Understanding of partner ecosystems and channel enablement programs.

 Key Attributes

  • Strategic thinker with execution ability.
  • Strong communication and storytelling.
  • Data-driven decision making.
  • Customer-centric mindset.
  • Comfortable in high-growth environments.

Cato provides a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits plan. Benefits for this role include health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), stock options, Health Savings/Flexible Spending Accounts, flexible time-off, paid parental leave and disability benefits.
