The Head of TPU Sales & Market Development – ASEAN & Korea leads and transforms the TPU ASEAN & Korea sales organization to drive continuous market expansion and value shift through prioritizing market penetration in focused segments, capture of growing transplant opportunities, aggressive customer acquisition, and hunt of new business in white space.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive ASEAN country strategy to grow above market and deliver value shift with comprehensive focused segment assessment and prioritization, strategic alignment of value propositions to customer needs, clear plan to expand business outside of Footwear, customer segmentation analysis, optimize distributor network and define clear channel strategy, set up key account plans and effective resource allocation.
  • Support implementation of Global Footwear segment plan and business expansion by managing relationship alongside the entire value chain (incl. OEM local offices, shoemakers, molders, machine makers, etc.), expanding customer base and network, partnering for OEM projects, identifying new opportunities from unmatched needs, commercializing new solutions, and acquiring market intelligence.
  • Drive active hunting of new customer acquisition and white space opportunities through systematic prospecting, market intelligence gathering, and aggressive business development to expand market presence and capture untapped potential.
  • Drive organizational transformation into a high-performance sales team with strong "hunter" and entrepreneur mentality; through smart hiring and assignment to optimize geographic coverage in the region; embracing performance management that is targeted-oriented, data-driven, emphasizing on transparency and accountability; willing to challenge status quo and improve continuously to match market dynamics.
  • Drive Commercial Excellence including Value-based pricing, Trade Working Capital optimization, and advanced Negotiation capabilities to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Enhance Industrial Marketing and Value Chain Management to optimize market penetration in targeted segments through coordinated segment steering and strategy, optimizing channel management, and partnering with strategic customers/industry influencers to create differentiation.
  • Lead Evolve initiatives related to ASEAN market to realize inorganic growth opportunities with new Footwear OEMs and expansion in other segments through mobilizing support across functions and countries.
  • Embrace digital transformation of sales team by integrating Artificial Intelligence, CRM systems and data analytics into day-to-day business steering and sales operations to enhance productivity and customer insights.
  • Deliver short- and long-term financial performance and strategic impact as in annual budget, SR framework, as well as ASEAN-related Evolve targets, with proactive risk mitigation measures to counter downside scenarios.

Qualification Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's) in Engineering or Business from top-tier university with minimum 10+ years of commercial experience in B2B industrial/chemical markets.
  • Minimum 7+ years in leadership roles with proven P&L responsibility and exceptional growth track record (>10% CAGR).
  • Deep industry expertise in specialty chemicals, polymers, or advanced materials with experience of TPU applications, plus strong background in Footwear & IT industry partnerships and OEM relationships.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with structured process and ability to follow through E2E from planning to execution.
  • Visionary leadership qualities with ability to spot and convert opportunities in the white space, identify performance gaps, challenge status quo, drive continuous improvement, inspire diverse teams, and establish new market benchmarks through change management.
  • Proven track record in driving organizational transformation, implementing performance management systems and Radical Candor, as well as establishing commercial excellence benchmarks.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial excellence and digital transformation
  • Competent to work under continuous pressure and work with ambiguity and changing targets.
  • Lead by example and willing to take the extra miles to get the results
  • Fluent English with strong cross-cultural communication skills and regional collaboration capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin) and Vietnamese highly desirable.
