Join Cambium Learning Group (Cambium) as our Head of Total Rewards and People Operations! We’re looking for a strategic leader who can shape our compensation, benefits, and recognition programs while optimizing our people operations for a growing, remote-first workforce. This role reports directly to the Chief People Officer and will partner closely with executive leadership to drive innovative strategies that attract, engage, and inspire top talent.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Shape Total Rewards Strategy: Design and execute competitive compensation, benefits, and incentive programs that support Cambium’s strategic goals.

  • Inspire and Develop the Team: Lead and mentor a diverse team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner with Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership on executive compensation and Total Rewards, ensuring equity, compliance, and alignment with business objectives.

  • Create a Compelling Story: Develop a clear narrative around Cambium’s Total Rewards philosophy that resonates with employees at all levels, ensuring understanding and engagement.

  • Optimize & Scale People Operations: Streamline processes and leverage technology to ensure a seamless, people-first experience for a growing, remote-first workforce.

Job Requirements:

  • 15+ years in Total Rewards and HR Operations, with 8+ years in a leadership role.

  • Proven experience in designing executive compensation and navigating complex compliance requirements.

  • Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate business goals into impactful programs.

  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to create compelling stories that connect with employees at all levels.

  • Passion for driving positive change, enhancing employee engagement, and building inclusive programs.

  • Adept at translating complex information into clear, compelling narratives for various stakeholders, ensuring alignment and driving engagement.

  • Demonstrates self-reflection and self-awareness of limitations. Leads by example and drives the organization's performance with an attitude of continuous improvement by being open to feedback and self-improvement.

  • Attracts and recruits top talent, motivates the team, delegates effectively, celebrates diversity, and manages performance; widely viewed as a strong developer of others.

  • Creates a sense of purpose/meaning for the team that generates followership beyond their personality and engages others in the organization's greater purpose.
