Company Description
Endeavour Group separated from Woolworths in 2021, embarking on an independent journey to reshape our business processes and technology systems through the One Endeavour program. This program aims to build a more autonomous, efficient, and future-ready operation, positioning Endeavour as a leader in technology-driven innovation within the retail and hospitality sectors.
Job Description
As the Head of Technology Optimisation, you will play a pivotal role in our post-transition journey, responsible for developing and executing strategies that streamline our technology landscape and drive efficiencies across the business. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will collaborate with Technology GMs, business stakeholders, and various cross-functional teams to create a fit-for-purpose technology model that aligns with our One Endeavour program. Your work will directly impact the way we deliver value, manage costs, and leverage technology to meet our business objectives.

You will be tasked with achieving or exceeding cost-saving targets by focusing on areas like capability sourcing, software rationalisation, licence management, cloud optimisation, and demand management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration and Change Management: Forge strong partnerships with stakeholders in technology, finance, IT commercial, procurement, and various business units.
- Partner Management: Drive significant changes to our partner landscape with a focus on capability sourcing, software and infrastructure rationalisation, and licence management.
- Risk Management: Actively monitor and manage risks associated with optimisation initiatives, developing mitigation strategies to ensure smooth implementation throughout the program’s lifecycle.
- Technology Operations: Oversee the transition of initiatives to BAU, ensuring services remain uninterrupted and that operational teams are prepared to maintain service levels.
- Data-driven Decision Making: Use data analytics to identify optimisation opportunities, track progress against savings targets, and assess the effectiveness of cost-reduction initiatives. Make informed decisions based on insights and quantifiable data.
- Thought Leadership and Innovation: Bring a forward-thinking perspective to technology optimisation, challenging the status quo and promoting new ideas that align with best practices. Drive two-way communication to achieve solutions that maximise organisational value.
- Leadership and Team Development: Proactively collaborate across Endeavour, recruit and develop a high-calibre team, and foster a culture that values diversity, trust, and collaboration.
Capabilities & Competencies
- Leadership: Proven experience inspiring diverse teams, driving performance, and cultivating a culture of trust and inclusion.
- Communication & Influence: Exceptional communication skills to effectively influence stakeholders and explain complex technology concepts in an accessible manner.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of technology infrastructure, cloud services, and emerging trends, with the ability to apply this knowledge pragmatically.
