How you'll make an impact

As the Head of Technology – Cloud and Infrastructure Services, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the enterprise cloud and infrastructure strategy that underpins AMP’s broader technology, data and AI ambitions. You will take ownership of a complex, multi-vendor ecosystem, ensuring the reliability, security and commercial performance of the organisation’s AWS cloud, network and infrastructure estate.

This is a pivotal leadership role at a defining moment, leading the transition to a post–data centre future and establishing a sustainable operating model for cloud at scale. You will influence long-term technology direction, drive vendor accountability across critical services, and embed strong FinOps practices to optimise cost and value. Working in close partnership with Technology, Data, AI, Security and business leaders, your impact will be felt through improved platform capability, enhanced resilience, and the enablement of faster, safer innovation across the organisation.

What you'll bring to the role

You are an experienced technology leader with a strong track record operating in complex, regulated environments and leading large-scale cloud and infrastructure functions. You bring deep expertise in AWS, with the ability to engage credibly across Azure and broader hybrid strategies, and have successfully delivered enterprise-scale data centre to cloud transformations.

Your strength lies in leading through influence—balancing strategic thinking, commercial acumen and operational oversight in a predominantly outsourced model. You are comfortable owning significant budgets and vendor relationships, driving accountability across partners while managing risk, resilience and regulatory obligations. With strong executive presence, you build trusted partnerships across senior stakeholders and can navigate complexity to deliver clear, outcome-focused results
