Job DescriptionWe are seeking a visionary and decisive individual to join our team in Harare, Zimbabwe. This person will drive our sustainability strategy, ensuring that environmental and social responsibility are at the core of our operations. Key requirements of the role include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive sustainability strategy
- Collaborating with senior management to integrate sustainability principles into all aspects of the business
- Overseeing sustainability reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations
- Engaging with stakeholders, including employees, clients and local communities, to promote sustainability initiatives
- Identifying and implementing innovative sustainability solutions
- Developing and managing sustainability-related budgets and resources
- Staying abreast of global sustainability trends and best practices
- Representing the Bank at industry events and forums related to sustainability
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Relevant certifications (e.g., LEED AP, CSR-P, ISSP-SA) are advantageous
- Expertise in sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP) and environmental management systems
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability or related fields
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, corporate social responsibility, and sustainable development goals (SDGs)
