This position will pay $200 - 230k with eligibility for a 32% annual bonus. Actual compensation will vary based on applicable experience and location.

SUMMARY

The Head of Supply Planning Strategy & Enablement is responsible for developing and leading the capabilities, processes, systems, data governance, and organizational transformation that enable world-class supply planning performance across the enterprise. This leader serves as the strategic architect for supply planning excellence, ensuring teams have the tools, processes, data, and governance needed to optimize inventory, service, capacity, and business outcomes.

The role focuses on building scalable planning capabilities through technology, analytics, process excellence, organizational design, training, and change management, while partnering across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, IT, Finance, Commercial, and executive leadership teams to advance planning maturity and digital transformation.

Supply Planning Strategy & Transformation

  • Develop and execute a multi-year supply planning enablement roadmap aligned with business and supply chain objectives.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance planning capabilities, service levels, inventory performance, productivity, and operational agility.
  • Assess planning processes and organizational capabilities to identify improvement opportunities and standardize best practices.
  • Design future-state planning operating models supporting Integrated Business Planning (IBP), S&OP, and end-to-end supply chain visibility.
  • Support network optimization, capacity planning, inventory optimization, and supply chain resilience initiatives.

Planning Systems & Digital Enablement

  • Define and execute the supply planning technology strategy, including implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead deployment and enhancement of planning platforms, including SAP IBP, SAP ECC/S4HANA, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, and other APS solutions.
  • Drive integration across ERP, manufacturing, procurement, transportation, and inventory management systems.
  • Champion automation, AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to improve planning effectiveness and efficiency.

Data Governance & Analytics

  • Establish enterprise standards and governance for supply planning master data, including BOMs, routings, capacities, lead times, planning hierarchies, and product master data.
  • Develop KPI frameworks, dashboards, and analytics that support data-driven decision making.
  • Ensure data quality, planning accuracy, and process compliance across planning systems.

Planning Process Excellence

  • Design and govern standardized planning processes, operating procedures, and planning playbooks across business units.
  • Establish best practices for inventory planning, capacity planning, production planning, supply balancing, and exception management.
  • Drive alignment among demand planning, supply planning, procurement, manufacturing, and commercial functions.
  • Monitor process compliance and lead continuous improvement efforts.

Capability Building & Change Leadership

  • Develop enterprise-wide training programs and role-based learning paths for planning teams and leaders.
  • Lead organizational change management and user adoption activities supporting planning system and process transformations.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, planning discipline, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic partner across Supply Chain, IT, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, and Commercial teams.
  • Influence planning strategy, governance, and investment decisions with executive leadership.
  • Facilitate alignment between business requirements and technology solutions.

Qualifying Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive supply chain planning experience.
  • 5+ years leading supply chain transformation, planning excellence, planning systems, or digital enablement programs.

Preferred

  • Master's degree (MBA, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field).
  • APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing and distribution networks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Extensive knowledge of supply planning, production planning, inventory management, capacity planning, S&OP, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
  • Proven experience developing and executing enterprise-wide supply planning transformation strategies and roadmaps.
  • Advanced expertise implementing, optimizing, and driving adoption of planning technologies, including SAP IBP, SAP ECC/S4HANA, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, and other APS solutions.
  • Strong capability in data governance, KPI development, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale process transformation, organizational change, capability building, and user adoption initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive leaders and drive cross-functional alignment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Inside working conditions.
  • Ability to travel ~25% to Distribution Centers and Plants.
  • Standard office working conditions with no identified environmental hazards.
