Job Summary:
The Head of Supply Planning is entrusted with the leadership and coordination of both the production planning, procurement, and supply planning project activities within the production plant. Besides leading the growing planning team on operational topics, the Head of Supply Planning crafts and executes comprehensive strategies for production scheduling, capacity management, inventory management & procurement.
The Head of Supply Planning collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities and optimal utilization of resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy:
- Develop and implement integrated procurement strategies that align with production objectives and overall business goals.
- Ensure seamless synchronization between production plans and supply activities.
Production Scheduling:
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to build optimized production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory targets, and procurement timelines.
- Monitor and adjust production schedules to address changes in demand or supply chain dynamics.
Inventory Optimization:
- Implement comprehensive inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, considering both components and finished goods, while meeting L-Acoustics requirements.
- Manage inventory to minimize carrying costs and avoid overstock situations.
Supply Planning Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership to the supply planning team, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of components.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing department from a planning point of view, supporting their commercial discussions with suppliers.
- Lead and coach the team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Attract best-in-class planning talent by establishing a positive and productive culture.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
Lead Time Management:
- Manage and optimize lead times for procurement & production.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure on-time and in-full deliveries and minimize disruptions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal cross-functional teams and also with global supply planning, and supply operation department to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Collaborate with the Industrial Director to align supply planning activities with overall production objectives.
Technology Utilization:
- Implement and leverage advanced production planning and procurement tools and technologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies that can improve both production planning and procurement processes.
Performance Metrics:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the supply planning and procurement functions.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the production planning and procurement teams and across the broader organization.
- Implement process enhancements based on feedback, data analysis, and changing business requirements.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, demand variability, and procurement challenges.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential supply and procurement-related challenges.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Ideally 5 years of experience in production scheduling, inventory management, and procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, demand forecasting, production processes, and procurement strategies.
- Experience with production planning and procurement tools and systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
