Role

The SCM Head will be responsible for leading and optimizing the supply chain operations within India Manufacturing at FLS. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end supply chain process, including sourcing, procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain strategies, and the ability to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Align supply chain strategies with organizational goals, oversee major functions, and drive continuous improvement using data analysis.

  • Mentor the SCM team and ensure compliance with regulations and company values.

Sourcing, Procurement & Inventory Management:

  • Lead sourcing, vendor selection, and contract negotiations. Manage procurement, inventory control, and cost reduction initiatives.

Production Planning:

  • Align production plans with demand forecasts and ensure efficient inventory and logistics management.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize data analytics for performance monitoring and reporting to senior management.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks with contingency planning.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Promote innovation and stay updated on industry trends for ongoing improvement.

What you bring

  • Proven ability to develop and implement supply chain strategies for efficiency and cost savings.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in supply chain management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experienced in problem-solving, cost control, and techno-commercial aspects of SCM.

  • Familiar with matrix organizations, international stakeholders, and multi-stakeholder management.

  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

Education Qualification

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering from a reputed University, or additional qualification of MBA will be an added advantage.

Experience

18+ years of experience in the Manufacturing Industry, with a background in Automotive, Heavy Engineering, Commercial vehicle, Construction equipment, or Mining equipment, possessing strong knowledge of supply chain processes, manufacturing operations, and inventory management.
