Job Description

As the Head of Strategic Customer Supply Chain Planning, you will be responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies to meet customer demands efficiently and effectively. You will lead a team in optimizing the flow of products from origin to customers while ensuring cost-effectiveness and maintaining high service levels.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Supply Chain Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize the supply chain network, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Customer Collaboration: Collaborate closely with key customers to understand their supply chain requirements, including demand forecasts, inventory management, and delivery preferences. Develop tailored supply chain solutions to meet customer needs and enhance satisfaction.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and manage the day-to-day business relationships with ResMed’s Strategic customers. Provide creative insights to identify business opportunities that are critical to mutual success
  • Demand Planning and Forecasting: Lead demand planning activities to accurately forecast customer demand and optimize inventory levels. Utilize forecasting models, market trends, and customer insights to anticipate demand fluctuations so we can plan production and procurement accordingly.
  • Inventory Management: Develop inventory strategies to minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolescence while maintaining high service levels. Implement inventory optimization techniques, such as safety stock management and demand-driven replenishment, to balance inventory costs with customer service requirements.
  • Logistics and Distribution: Optimize logistics and distribution processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers. Evaluate transportation modes, warehouse locations, and distribution channels to maximize efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and customer service levels. Monitor KPIs regularly, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement process enhancements and best practices to drive continuous improvement in supply chain operations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively partner and collaborate with senior business leaders across ResMed to ensure customer engagement is aligned to commercial strategies in alignment with ResMed’s strategic and financial business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ Years of experience in supply chain planning, logistics, or operations management, with a focus on customer-facing roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Experience driving transformational initiatives, with a track record of successfully implementing process improvements and driving change.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership experience, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive change initiatives.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and advanced planning tools.
  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with Collaborative Planning, forecast and Replenishment (CPFR) preferred.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills. 

 

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is: 

$171,000 - $257,000
