About the Role
As Head of of Standalone Concepts & Experiences, you’ll lead the strategy, growth, and operations for Wonder’s standalone restaurants, bars, and experience-driven venues. This includes everything from fast casual eateries to full-service dining rooms, cocktail bars, and immersive speakeasy-style spaces. You’ll play a critical role in shaping new concepts, bringing them to market, and scaling them sustainably—all while curating memorable guest experiences and ensuring alignment with Wonder’s core brand ecosystem.
This is a role for a dynamic leader who thrives on solving problems in new ways—not just applying traditional restaurant playbooks. You’ll pair operational discipline with creative vision, while also back casting new openings into Wonder’s existing HDR portfolio to maximize synergies across the system. To succeed, you must be equally comfortable “flying high” as a strategist shaping growth and “getting your hands dirty” in the details of unit economics, performance, and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multi-unit operations across a portfolio of standalone concepts, ensuring operational excellence, strong financial performance, and standout guest experiences.
Stand up scalable systems, tools, and processes to support both new concept openings and the integration of existing locations into Wonder HDRs—ensuring playbooks are strategic, replicable, and performance-driven.
Own new concept creation and evolution—from menu and service design to atmosphere, storytelling, and team culture.
Manage alcohol and beverage programs for full-service restaurants, bars, and speakeasies—ensuring compliance, profitability, and creative excellence.
Drive event programming including live music, ticketed events, private dining, and community activations—partnering with performers, vendors, and marketing teams.
Act as P&L owner for each concept, leveraging data and insights to optimize unit economics, staffing, and operational execution.
Operate as both strategist and operator, maintaining visibility into day-to-day restaurant performance while charting long-term growth paths.
Integrate standalone concepts with Wonder’s HDR portfolio, identifying opportunities to cross-leverage brands, menus, and chef partnerships.
Hire, train, and develop high-performing leadership teams, cultivating a culture of hospitality, innovation, and accountability.
Oversee new restaurant openings, from pre-launch planning and recruitment through launch execution and post-opening optimization.
Partner cross-functionally with culinary, design, marketing, product, legal, and real estate to deliver aligned, guest-centric outcomes.
Ensure compliance with food safety, labor laws, and alcohol service requirements, including licensing and responsible beverage programs.
Continuously evolve operations by piloting new approaches, embedding feedback loops, and challenging industry norms with creative solutions.

8–10+ years of progressive, multi-unit leadership in restaurants, including both fast casual and full-service operations.
Proven success launching and scaling new concepts, ideally across diverse formats.
