Responsibilities:

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. ORGANIZATION & PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Support in working with the Senior Members of Tanoto Foundation Indonesia, Singapore, and China to ensure coordination and collaboration among countries and also RGE business group
  • Take ownership to achieve outstanding results and seek value at all times, trough can do attitude and hands on management trough lead by example.
  • Keep things simple and smart and seek out the best value when making decisions
  • Make sure the organization align by company common purpose and work together as a complementary team and promote work together based on mutual trust and respect through direct and open in our communication with each other to promote knowledge and ideas with our colleagues and ensure each area do not operate in silos
  • To grow with the company to build our organization from within and promote and reward based on performance and people development, in a fair and transparent way
  • Act with integrity at all times by uncompromising on dishonesty and put problems and issues on the table, and act without fear or favor, as well as safeguarding company’s assets and knowledge.
  • Understand the customers and align internally to what our customers need  as well as deliver best value to them by regularly engage our customers to better understand their businesses and needs and serve our customers through stable quality, supply and service and innovate and customize our products and services to provide win-win solutions for our customers.
  • Act with zero complacency and always strive for continuous improvement by striving to do better, faster, and at a lower cost (SQPC) and aim for today to be better than yesterday and tomorrow to be better than today by eliminating waste.
  • Any other assignment from the people manager.

2. PROGRAM OPERATION & SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT

Sustainable Management

  • Leadership and accountability: Provide strategic level of technical expertise relating to the sector.  Anticipate and establish priorities, monitor progress and work deliver required by the outcomes of the foundation
  • Independence and decision making: Work with the degree of autonomy to deliver quality impact.  Communicate and make balance decision using thorough analysis and professional judgement.
  • Contextualizing: Supporting the organization to have comprehensive understanding of the impact within the content in which it operates.  Including putting recommendation for the future anticipated change or opportunities incorporating the analysis from risk matrix
  • Relationship management: work collaboratively with P&A department to communicate organization’s strategic direction to external and internal stakeholders
  • Team management: managing a team that has diverse skill set and tasks that are related

Operation delivery

  • Incorporating the input from business intelligence functions such sector landscaping, theme mapping or feasibility study to formulate strategic recommendation on specific or sectoral issues.
  • Managing and identifying strategic partner to explore potential collaboration or co-creation.
  • Managing relationship with key strategic alliances with internal (including BG) and external stakeholders.
  • Managing complex analysis and interpretation to compose strategic recommendation that navigates the course of action for the organization.
  • Provide high level analysis and work collaboratively with MLE division to support the organization grow as learning organization, by identifying the gap and proposing the learning agenda towards world class organization.
  • Ensuring and managing knowledge management by putting structured and accessible repository system as continuous improvement effort.
  • Addressing organization needs for the development or improvement of the new system, procedures, methodology, practices.
  • Overseeing innovation or research projects that contribute to strategic direction of the organization.
  • Overseeing scientific, technical analysis and evaluation including the analysis of complex data to formulate strategic recommendation to the organization.
  • Proactively manage risk to improve and maintain organization strategic position within the sector.
  • Ensuring the development of organization strategic document through a thorough organization review and collaborative dialogues with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertaking strategic planning and its governance system to ensure organization improvement and sustainability.
  • Managing the team by doing professional development including coaching, mentoring, performance management, and identification of training needs.
  • Oversee and manage the use of service providers such as contractors and consultants
  • Support other functions such as flagships program, MLE, P&A, finance, procurement, and human resources
  • Manage accountable resource and funding in effective and efficient manner to produce greater impact
  • Other task that is deemed by the supervisor

3. PROGRAM STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENT

  • Support in strategic collaboration between programs, partnerships, and network that produces greater impact for the organization.
  • Support in key relationships with strategic partners, stakeholders, and business group across all the Foundation’s borders to enable ongoing collaboration to further the impact of the Foundation.
  • Support in facilitation of collaboration between the Foundation’s programs to promote a culture of a learning organization.
  • Any other assignment from the people manager
