As the Head of Software Engineering, you will lead a global team of over 50 engineers to develop cutting-edge software solutions for 3D printing. You will collaborate with engineering and product leaders to drive innovative feature development, ensuring a customer-focused approach while addressing complex technical challenges. You will play a crucial role in enhancing user experience across multiple applications.

If you are customer-obsessed and forward-thinking, we want you to join us as our Head of Software Engineering. Our software product portfolio spans many areas and is rapidly growing, including:

  1. Firmware/UI: Supporting our 3D printers with industrial quality 3D printing enabled by firmware and world-class user experience enabled by the UI on each machine
  2. Desktop: Preform is the command and control engine for our 3D printers. Evolve the feature set our customers use daily to initiate prints on our close to 100k printers in the field.
  3. IoT: Dashboard is the gateway for our customers to our products. Help us make the printers more connected to enable remote monitoring, scheduling, etc.
  4. Workflows: our customers come from a variety of industries. Build integrations and new products to enable manufacturing, dental, and other industry workflows and accelerate our growth in those industries.

The Job:

  • Lead a team of 50+ Engineers globally to build best-in-class Software Solutions to enrich our customer experience. 
  • Work closely with our Engineering Leadership across Hardware and Materials to build a world-class engineering team.
  • Working closely with our Product Leaders, set a long-term roadmap for new feature development using data-driven customer insights.
  • Work cross-functionally with leaders across the business to deliver holistic products and features that span hardware, software, materials, services, etc. 
  • Be a hands-on leader who can think big picture but also dive into the weeds of complex technical problems. 

You:

  • Have a Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • Are a hard-charging leader who is passionate about the 3D Printing industry 
  • Have led successful teams while driving real business results 
  • Have a history of tackling broad, complex technical challenges.
  • Are customer-obsessed, with a deep focus on the business to ensure we are building the right solutions for our customers 

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in a hardware environment. 
  • Experience with Graphics, Game engines, CAD, Geometry, and/or algorithm development
