About the Role:
We are currently looking for a Head of Software Development to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for designing, building, and delivering secure, enterprise-grade AI applications across Lendlease. Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead the end-to-end design, build, and deployment of AI applications using Google Gemini (ADK), Microsoft Copilot Studio, and modern backend technologies
Architect and implement multi-agent AI systems with robust testing, evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement frameworks
Lead and mentor a team of developers, setting clear technical direction, reviewing code, and ensuring high engineering standards
Embed DevOps best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure-as-code, and AI-assisted development tools
Design secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions aligned to enterprise architecture, governance, and data privacy requirements
Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into value-driven engineering outcomes aligned to commercial priorities
Oversee data and integration engineering, ensuring reliable, governed access to enterprise systems and high-quality data foundations
About you:
You are a highly technical, hands-on engineering leader with a proven track record of delivering secure, production-grade software solutions. You bring deep expertise in modern development, cloud platforms, and AI-driven systems, alongside a strong ability to mentor teams and drive engineering excellence in a fast-paced, enterprise environment. You will also have:
Proven experience delivering production-grade software systems, with strong hands-on development skills in .NET and/or Java
Deep expertise in cloud engineering across Azure and/or GCP, with experience building scalable, distributed systems and APIs
Demonstrated experience developing AI/LLM or agent-based applications within enterprise environments
Strong leadership capability, including mentoring engineers, prioritising work, and maintaining high engineering standards
Solid grounding in DevOps practices, Git workflows, automated testing, and secure software engineering principles
Advanced data and integration experience, including strong SQL capability and enterprise data integration
Highly desirable: experience with Google Gemini/ADK, Microsoft Copilot Studio, GIS/spatial platforms, or built environment data, with exposure to multi-model AI or financial/investment use cases

Skills Required
- Hands-on development skills in .NET and/or Java
