About the Role
Title: Head of Brand
Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer
Location: Austin, Texas (hybrid)
Position Summary
CharterUP is seeking a strategic, creative, and brand-obsessed Head of Brand to lead the evolution of our brand identity, voice, and presence across all platforms. This role is responsible for defining and scaling our brand strategy while ensuring consistency, clarity, and emotional resonance in how we show up to customers, partners, and talent.
As Head of Brand, you will own brand positioning and narrative, guide content, brief the design team and own creative strategy (with a strong emphasis on video and social media), and serve as a steward of CharterUP’s visual and verbal identity. You'll partner closely with the CMO, CEO, and cross-functional leaders to shape how our brand drives growth across markets, products, and audiences—building awareness of CharterUP as the most innovative technology company and category leader in group transportation.
Core Responsibilities
- Own brand strategy and positioning across all audiences and lines of business, ensuring a clear, consistent, and differentiated brand narrative that reflects CharterUP’s innovation and market leadership.
- Lead content and social media strategy, overseeing messaging and execution across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, website, email, and additional platforms, with a focus on storytelling, thought leadership, and audience engagement.
Architect and execute a high-impact video strategy that brings the brand to life—showcasing our mission, customers, products, and people in compelling and platform-native ways.
- Drive cross-functional alignment, collaborating with executive leadership, product, marketing, recruiting, and operations to integrate brand strategy into company-wide initiatives.
- Establish and track key performance metrics for brand awareness, sentiment, reach, and engagement—using insights to inform strategy, optimize execution, and demonstrate impact.
Timelines and Reporting
- Define and track brand performance KPIs, including awareness, engagement, sentiment, reach, and content effectiveness across channels.
- Own weekly and post-campaign reporting for organic social and brand initiatives—delivering clear insights, performance scorecards, and data-driven recommendations.
- Maintain and optimize the content calendar, ensuring alignment with business priorities, marketing milestones, and audience needs.
- Continuously analyze performance data and audience insights to refine strategy, improve execution, and increase brand impact over time.
Experience & Skills Required
- 7–10+ years of brand, content, or marketing experience in high-growth, brand-forward environments (B2B, B2B2C, or tech preferred).
- Proven track record of building and evolving brands that drive business outcomes.
- Deep fluency in social strategy, storytelling, and content development—with an instinct for what breaks through and builds connection.
- Strategic thinker with a creative mindset—able to operate at both the vision and execution levels.
- Executive presence and confidence working directly with founders, executives, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of video and multimedia content in a brand ecosystem.
- Excellent communication and writing skills with a sharp editorial eye and a bias toward action.
