The role overview: The Head of SnooLabs is responsible for owning and managing the overall P&L and strategic development of SnooLabs, Snoonu’s Retail Media and Market Intelligence division. This leadership role entails driving growth by collaborating cross-functionally with key teams—including Partnerships, Tech, Marketing, and Product—to ensure that partner needs are effectively translated into scalable, growth-oriented corporate strategies.
This role involves building the SnooLabs business from the ground up, initially starting with one direct report. The role holder will define revenue targets, establish pricing structures with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and core teams, and cultivate strong, sustainable relationships with clients across all partner tiers. Additionally, the Head of SnooLabs will lead the development of the technology roadmap in collaboration with the Product team, encompassing products, analytics, and reporting solutions.
(Some of) What you will be doing:
- Strategic Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Retail Media strategy to scale the business, driving sales and revenue through a robust Ad Operations strategy aligned with commercial goals and overall Snoonu objectives.
- Support strategy formulation with competitive analysis and market research to retain and expand market share.
- Define, manage, and maintain the P&L for the business, setting clear targets in alignment with the CCO.
- Participate in quarterly, executive, and annual business reviews to assess and enhance business performance.
- Stay current with relevant industry trends and general media developments.
- Sales Management & Revenue Generation
- Establish and deliver on ambitious revenue targets, managing relationships with large, mid-tier, and long-tail partners.
- Maintain and monitor an active sales pipeline, regularly providing financial forecasts and updates (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) to senior leadership.
- Build and refine a structured sales process, including meetings, Joint Business Plans, negotiations, closing, upselling, and renewals.
- Allocate accounts across team members for optimal client support and equitable team distribution.
- Review key deliverables for accuracy and quality; support high-profile pitches and client proposals.
- Create incentive structures and performance management frameworks for the Sales team.
- Mentor and develop sales talent to ensure a strong business pipeline before, during, and after deals are secured.
- Implement a yield management system to optimize pricing and ensure efficient inventory sell-out.
- Utilize data monetization strategies and shopper segmentation to provide category and market share insights for campaign support.
- Product and Technology Leadership
- Lead the Retail Media technology roadmap in partnership with the Product team.
- Define operational metrics, project timelines, and deliverables to ensure structured execution.
- Coordination and Communication
- Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to share insights from revenue generation and analysis.
- Align expectations and clarify specifications for Retail Media and Market Intelligence initiatives across departments.
- Audit and Reporting
- Prepare and deliver business presentations and reports on Retail Media performance for both periodic and ad hoc stakeholder requirements.
- Oversee the creation and enforcement of relevant policies and procedures.
- People Development
- Ensure effective implementation of performance management systems.
- Mentor team members and build a continuous talent pipeline for critical roles.
- Identify training needs and collaborate with the People & Culture (P&C) team to ensure appropriate learning opportunities.
- Oversee on-the-job training initiatives and ensure availability of competent staff to meet business goals.
Attitude matters most but do you have any of these?
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years in media sales, with at least 5 years in sales operations and managing media sales teams (both online and offline).
- At least 5 years of experience in B2C tech startups is highly desirable.
- A strong network within the GCC media ecosystem is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in Retail Media is essential.
- Experience with technology development and analytics is a plus.

- Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with an ownership mindset and an aptitude for creative problem-solving.
- Strong operational and project management skills, particularly in managing sales pipelines and processes.
- Excellent business communication and presentation abilities.

- Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- A builder mindset—this role involves launching and shaping the Retail Media and Market Intelligence function from scratch.
- Language Proficiency: English (Full Professional Proficiency – Required); Arabic (Professional Proficiency – Advantage).
