Head Of School/Principal

The Principal is responsible for providing strategic leadership, academic direction, and operational management of the school. With a strong background in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), the Principal will drive innovation in teaching and learning, promote excellence in STEM education, and ensure high academic standards across all subjects. The role involves building a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving while preparing students for future careers in a technology-driven world.

• Develop and implement the school’s vision, mission, and long-term strategic goals.
  

• Promote a strong focus on STEM excellence while maintaining a balanced curriculum.
  

• Lead school improvement initiatives and monitor progress toward academic targets.
  

• Foster a culture of innovation, research, and continuous improvement.
  

• Oversee curriculum development with emphasis on STEM integration across subjects.
  

• Encourage project-based learning, inquiry-based instruction, and interdisciplinary STEM activities.
  

• Support teachers in implementing modern teaching strategies, including digital and technology-enhanced learning.
  

• Monitor student performance and implement strategies to improve learning outcomes.
  

• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate teachers and administrative staff.
  

• Provide professional development opportunities related to STEM education and instructional best practices.
  

• Foster collaboration among teachers to improve curriculum and teaching methods.
  

• Promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students.
  

• Support participation in STEM competitions, innovation programs, and research initiatives.
  

• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  

• Encourage internships, mentorships, and real-world STEM learning opportunities for students.
  

• Maintain strong relationships with parents, community stakeholders, and governing bodies.
  

• Manage school budgets, resources, and facilities effectively.
  

• Ensure compliance with educational policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  

• Oversee school operations, scheduling, and infrastructure development.
  

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Education, STEM field, or Educational Leadership.
  

• Valid teaching and leadership certification (as required by local regulations).
  

• Minimum 7–10 years of teaching experience, preferably with STEM specialization.
  

• At least 5 years of leadership experience in an educational setting.
  

• Resides in the local vicinity; Amuwo, Festac, Ago, Isolo, Aguda
  

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  

• Deep understanding of STEM education and modern pedagogy.
  

• Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
  

• Strategic planning and organizational management.
  

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  

• Data-driven decision-making and performance analysis.
  

• Experience leading STEM programs or innovation labs.
  

• Experience implementing robotics, coding, AI, or engineering programs in schools.
  

• Proven track record of improving student achievement in STEM subjects.
