The Role
For our Business Unit Food Processing and Packaging (FPP) location Weert we are seeking an experienced and strategically minded Head of Sales to assume global responsibility for the Product Lines Vertical Packaging & Lollipop.
The successful candidate will be accountable for fiscal-year topline performance, developing and implementing long-term strategies, and ensuring operational excellence across regions and countries.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Topline Accountability: Lead top-down planning and budgeting on a country basis; support annual budget negotiations and deliver agreed revenue and margin targets.

  • Strategic & Operational Sales Leadership: Define, implement, and monitor global-to-regional sales strategies and KPIs to exceed topline objectives.

  • Pricing & Margin Optimization: Evaluate and refine pricing methodologies; establish and maintain a robust pricing governance framework.

  • Route-to-Market Development: Drive an optimized Route2Market strategy for Vertical Packaging; manage direct sales operations for the Lollipop business.

  • Sales Performance Management: Establish and maintain KPI-based performance management for the Weert site and respective regional stakeholders.

  • Guided Selling & Tools: Support the implementation of a configurator/CPQ tool to enhance quotation cycles and margin generation.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management, Project Execution, Operations, and the local Management Team in Weert.

  • Strategic Insight: Monitor market trends and competitive developments to inform long-term strategic planning (5+ years horizon).

  • Leadership: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing international sales team while ensuring functional excellence across site.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience managing a global sales team within a complex, multinational matrix organization.

  • Demonstrated expertise in sales and marketing, including contract management and pricing strategy.

  • Strong strategic mindset with excellent analytical and organizational abilities.

  • Goal- and performance-oriented with a structured and hands-on working style.

  • Proven leadership capability to develop and motivate culturally diverse teams.

  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
