ShopBack is seeking an experienced Head of Sales in Taiwan to manage and expand our ShopBack online cashback business. We are looking for a self-motivated, hands-on leader with proven experience in merchant and brand acquisition and relationships. 


This job requires an understanding of the evolving best practices for strategy and partnership with the merchants and brands. The Head of Sales is one of the most critical roles at ShopBack. You are integral in bringing the best promotions to users, whilst ensuring that we are fulfilling the needs of our partners as well. In this role, you will be responsible for the acquisition of online and offline key merchants and brands, as well as the growth of existing accounts. 


Your Adventure Ahead

  • To lead a team in driving our online and offline cashback business development efforts.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and acquire key merchant partners that would support the company’s business plan and goals. 
  • Conduct market and potential clients’ research for our target category and establish a long-term positive relationship with merchant partners.
  • Research and explore new business and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to decide go-to-market strategy and execution plans to reach company goals. 
  • Maximize and optimize sales pipeline from different partners (online/offline merchants, retailers, media agencies, etc)

Essentials to Succeed

  • At least 10 years of experience in sales and business development – Having eCommerce background in Marketplaces, Fashion, Travel, and OMO would be a strong advantage
  • Fluent in Chinese and English in order to converse effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience in sales/business development/account management
  • Strong people management experience, and has successfully led high-performing sales teams
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Solution selling: Account growth. Always be looking for new ways to develop, grow and broaden the relationship with the clients.
  • Able to think out of the box in conceptualizing ideas for merchant acquisition and management – creativity and logical thinking would be key!
  • Self-motivated and driven to excel and deliver.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
