Lead and scale the growth of the Bank’s Payments Business by acquiring and developing institutional clients, including Payment Institutions (PIs), Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), and regulated Fintechs, across the EU. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on business development, ensuring strong revenue growth, efficient client onboarding, and compliance with the Bank’s risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate Business Development Partners to meet revenue and growth targets, aligned with the Bank’s commercial and risk strategies.
- Drive new client acquisition and manage key institutional relationships, engaging senior stakeholders to close deals and sustain long-term partnerships.
- Define and execute the Payments Business growth plan, focusing on priority sectors and jurisdictions, and identify and convert high-value opportunities.
- Oversee the full client lifecycle—from lead generation and due diligence through onboarding and ongoing relationship management—ensuring efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain scalable sales and pricing processes, and ensure accurate CRM data, forecasts, and team KPIs.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure all business aligns with AML/CFT and regulatory frameworks and support continuous enhancement of the Customer Acceptance Policy and Business Risk Assessment.
- Identify and implement process improvements to speed onboarding, strengthen controls, and enhance service delivery.
- Analyse market, regulatory, and competitor trends to refine sales strategy, product offering, and market positioning.
Must have:
- 8+ years in institutional financial services sales, ideally in Payments or Transaction Banking.
- Proven experience leading sales teams and closing complex B2B deals.
- Strong understanding of PSD2, MiCA, AMLD, and related EU regulations.
- Commercially driven, with balanced awareness of risk and compliance.
- Experience in regulated high-risk sectors is an asset.
