The Role

As Head of Sales – Mid-Market, you will lead and scale a high-performing, international team of Account Executives. Your mission is to drive sales excellence, optimize the sales cycle, and enable the team to consistently achieve ambitious growth targets.

You will enhance buyer engagement through more relevant and impactful sales content while equipping Account Executives with the coaching, processes, and tools required to position strategically within our target markets. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Business Development, RevOps, Marketing, and Revenue-related teams.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Go-To-Market strategy, ensuring quarterly achievement of territory plans and individual sales targets designed for full quota attainment.
  • Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, engaged sales team (AE’s & Sales Engineers) through strong leadership and clear performance standards.
  • Recruit, retain, mentor, and grow top sales talent.
  • Train and coach the team on:
    • Sales methodologies and execution (MEDDIC)
    • Product knowledge
    • Competitive positioning
    • Time and territory management
    • Cross-team collaboration
  • Own business development oversight, including forecasting accuracy and sales commitment decisions.
  • Drive sales success across assigned territories and individuals, ensuring consistent performance improvement.
  • Deliver regular, data-driven sales forecasts to leadership using Salesforce dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Lead the team in building and managing a robust pipeline: identifying, qualifying, nurturing, and advancing opportunities.
  • Design and implement market penetration strategies in close collaboration with Marketing and other key divisions.

Requirements
  • Solid experience in Sales, ideally within the Fintech/SaaS industry
  • Minimum 4 years of experience leading and scaling an Account Executive team (at least 5 team members)
  • Strong academic background or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven track record managing international markets — BENE, DACH, UK & Nordics are a strong plus
  • Fluent in English; German and/or Dutch are a plus
  • Analytical, hands-on, and collaborative mindset with the ability to translate data into action
  • Strong knowledge of structured sales processes and continuous optimization
  • High adaptability and comfort operating in fast-changing environments
