As the Head of Regulatory Affairs, North America, you will be successful by building trusted regulatory relationships while ensuring consistent, high-quality management of regulatory communications and examinations.
This leadership role is responsible for defining and executing regulatory strategy across North America while serving as the central liaison with key supervisory bodies. The position ensures consistent coordination of examinations, regulatory communications, and remediation efforts. It plays a critical role in strengthening compliance practices, enhancing transparency, and supporting business objectives through proactive risk management. The role contributes to a strong governance framework and reinforces Rabobank’s commitment to regulatory excellence.
Job ResponsibilitiesLead and maintain strategic relationships with regulatory agencies across the United States.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulators and coordinate communication across all North America entities.
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of regulatory examinations, ensuring readiness and consistency.
Manage responses to regulatory inquiries, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timely delivery.
Guide the preparation and quality assurance of materials submitted to regulators.
Drive exam readiness efforts by conducting assessments and identifying areas for improvement.
Track, report, and oversee remediation of regulatory findings and ensure progress is centrally documented.
Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies aligned with regulatory expectations.
Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management on regulatory trends, exam outcomes, and emerging risks.
Enhance processes and protocols for regulatory engagement to promote consistency, transparency, and operational efficiency.

Your Promise to Us:To be considered for the Head of Regulatory Affairs, North America role, you must have:
10+ years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Legal, or related field.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
Strong knowledge of banking regulations and supervisory processes.
Proven ability to engage effectively with regulatory agencies and senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel regionally

Salary Expectations:Target Hiring Range:
Saint Louis, MO $140,000.00 – $165,000.00
New York, NY $165,000.00 – $190,000.00
This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
