Job DescriptionAre you ready to shape the future of payments in Latin America and beyond?
We’re seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Regional Payment Operations to lead our teams across Latin American corridors. You’ll play a key leadership role within our global Payment Operations group, directly managing senior function leads and indirectly overseeing over 20+ professionals.
This role is perfect for someone with deep knowledge of LATAM payment systems, and a passion for automation, compliance, and operational scalability. You’ll work alongside Product, Engineering, Treasury, and other critical stakeholders to ensure we deliver seamless payment services to customers across Europe and the world.
What You’ll Do:
- Build, lead and grow high-performing payment operations teams
- Ensure compliance and SLA excellence across multiple currencies and schemes
- Drive change through AI, automation, and process transformation
- Partner cross-functionally to scale our payments infrastructure
What You’ll Need:
- 7+ years in payment ops or a similar field, 5+ years leading other leaders
- Fintech, banking, or PSP experience
- Expertise in Payments and regulatory frameworks
- Passion for operational efficiency and team development
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Must-Have:
- 7+ years total in payments or ops leadership roles in a Global environment
- 5+ years managing leaders of teams
- Domain knowledge of LatAm payment schemes
- Experience scaling ops orgs via automation and AI
- Strong compliance and risk management awareness
- Background in financial services (FinTech, PSPs, banks)
- Excellent cross-functional stakeholder communication
- Excellent verbal and written English skills (additional languages like Spanish skills are a plus) with the ability to clearly articulate your thoughts.
- Ability to travel internationally
Nice-to-Have:
- Product background or experience launching payment products
- AI/ML or automation tools experience in ops
- Technical understanding of APIs or system architecture
- Led international teams or expansion projects
