Key Responsibilities:
As a Regional Category Manager in APM Terminals, you will work closely with our Asset Maintenance, Local Procurement teams and with suppliers to define and deliver cost-competitive and differentiated solutions to APM Terminals. You will build a broad network and collaborative relationships to implement our category strategies and support various stakeholders on the many interesting projects.

Building and executing on exciting and passionate strategies with our team to ensure cost leadership.

High level of internal and external stakeholder management with emphasis on creating partnerships which support our strategies and enable global and local synergies.

Driving cross functional projects to deliver on our committed year-on-year cost reduction targets.

Build negotiation strategies and negotiate high value contracts or projects.

Establishing and applying cost modelling concepts, spend & demand analysis, and evaluations.

Engaging with our key suppliers through a Supplier Relationship Management approach to support project execution and drive long-term developments.

Ability to embody the Maersk Values, integrate yourself in the Maersk culture and effectively collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about category management and who has the will, curiosity, and experience to impact the business.

You are an action-orientated person with solid experience in procurement within the maritime, transport or other relevant industry.

You need to possess refined communication and interpersonal skills, and you get excited by taking an energetic part in the transformation of our organization to further support our customer’s needs.

You have a strong commercial mindset with a natural focus on achieving the best solutions for the business while finding a balance between quality and cost.

You are open-minded, curious, and like to challenge both yourself and our organization to continuously develop and reach the next level. You have a strong personal drive and take pleasure in working in a diverse team.

You are good at solving complex business problems in a structured and analytical manner, e.g., via project management and negotiations. Effective communication to senior management will be an important part of your work. Excellent English written and spoken is required, and your educational background is likely BSc or MSc in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
